MDS 2013 Concert

Images by Anderson is capturing all of the colour and action of Monika’s Unlimited Dance School‘s 2013 Concert at the University of Queensland’s Schonell Theatre. (You might remember us from the studio session a few weeks ago, where Wanda captured some fantastic images of some of the older performers.)

Families of Monika’s can check out the Gallery from Monday December 16. The gallery password is on the concert flyer, or you can contact the staff at Monika’s and they’ll pass it on to bona fide students and their families. 5×7-inch and 8×10-inch prints are available for purchase directly from the gallery, either individually or in packs of three or five. For other options (framed prints, canvases, light blocks), hit the Contact Us link above and we’ll help you out.

Please note that our lab closes for Christmas very soon. Gallery print orders submitted by 11am Wednesday 18 December and shipped by courier should arrive by Christmas. (Australia Post delivery will do their best, but it’s a busy time of year.) The gallery will continue to accept on-line orders over the break, and our lab will start processing those orders again from Monday 13 January. While you’re waiting, you can download, share and enjoy Facebook-sized images.

Don’t forget our special offer for MDS students and families – book a portrait session before February 28 2014, and when you order a canvas or framed print, we’ll give you one of our gorgeous acrylic Lightblocks as a gift! Just email Wanda if you’d like to know more. You might want a session with your family, or maybe a session just for you with multiple locations and wardrobe changes.

ParisLane

Andy and Steve Mackay are ParisLane – you might recognise them from X-Factor in 2012. It’s pretty cool getting the chance to take photos of twins, and pretty cool to take photos of musicians… so twin musicians is a bonus!

Something I really love in a shoot is when people put their trust in me, and let me take them out of their comfort zone. These guys totally did that. You’ll see what I mean in the gallery…

A huge thank you to Stefan from CF Photography and Design for joining us on the shoot, especially with wrangling Steve’s anti-gravity piano work! It is a huge pleasure to get to work with Stefan.

You can check out ParisLane’s work at their YouTube channel, and follow their Facebook page for news and gigs.

OK, now that you’ve looked at that image, look again. Steve is totally holding himself up with his arms. That’s no mean feat.
