This year was our second year entering the WPPI 16×20-inch print awards, judged in Las Vegas. The goal this year, with four prints entered in to the Illustrative category, was to get all four over the line with a Silver award.
Not just any four prints… the same physical prints that were up for judging at APPA in late 2017! If I haven’t sent my prints in to APPA yet, and you so much as look at them while you have dirty fingers, you’re in trouble… so letting go and letting images that have been up on the wall for days in a gallery out for judging is a little strange.
In the end, those prints were sooooo close to hitting the target. Senseless and Noteless both earned tidy Silvers, and Restless performed very well indeed with a Silver Distinction. Relentless was SO close, with a 79, but didn’t quite make it. Close but no cigar!
Still… Restless is a print very close to my heart, a little more personal than the others, and it sounds like it hit home for a few people. You can’t ask for more than that. 🙂
