    Kris Anderson IFSWPP M.PhotogI M.WPPI MNZIPP(Dist.) is a Certified Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers Association of Queensland, an NZIPP Australian Accredited Professional Photographer, and proud EIZO Ambassador. He has been recognised as a Fellow of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, an NZIPP Master with Distinction 2 bars, and Icon International Photography Awards Double Master.

    Kris’ work has received gold awards at international, national and state levels for professional print judging. Most recently he was recognised as the 2025 SWPP Photojournalism Photographer of the Year and the 2024 NZIPP Australian Professional Creative Photographer of the Year, and won a coveted 2024 Icon International Photography Awards Grand Award for In-Camera Artistry. Prior to that, Kris was awarded 2019 AIPP Queensland Professional Photographer of the Year. He has also won state and national titles for AIPP Professional Illustrative Photographer of the Year.

Well, kinda. That colander on @thevonbomb’s is still part of our everyday kitchen arsenal!! Tonight/tomorrow morning is Big Wind Night for us so hopefully it’s not super exciting, and then Alfred crosses the coast tomorrow morning. Hope everyone is staying safe and sound!!

It’s been steady and recognised branding for this Brisbane Comedy Festival show for ages, filling seats since 2017. And it’s had its fair share of recognition in awards too. Tickets are on sale now for the Theatresports Grand Championships! This year I’m playing music for the show too!!     Brisbane theatre fam - it’s going to be a really Brisbane theatre fam - it’s going to be a really weird couple of days. Hope you and your families are safe and sound, warm and dry, and well stocked with food and books for the next few days. There are a whole host of companies cancelling/postponing productions - familiar from covid times, hopefully this is much shorter than that. Staging a show is a tough gig on a good day, so cancelling shows is a heartbreaker. When we’re all back and safe, support local theatre!! At the Anderson house we are prepped, but I’m feeling a little powerless and a bit anxious, so in some weird kind of protest I’m going to be going with storm-inspired posts for a few days. This is Jonathon Devitt and Claire Argente in a production I loved to bits, When The Rain Stops Falling, back in 2016 at @artstheatre. See you when the rain stops falling 😊
    JEKYLL & HYDE I’m getting stupidly excited to s JEKYLL & HYDE I’m getting stupidly excited to see @swichupproductions’ Jekyll & Hyde, opening Friday with four epic shows over the weekend. This cast is ridiculously talented, the costumes are amazing, I’ve seen some sneaky pics of the set and it looks fantastic… can’t wait! Of course any theatre-goer in SEQ has their mind on the approaching weather - hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Fun Home (at @piptheatreau) was one of my fave shows from 2024, and @michealenright_txt (playing college Alison) was a standout. I CANNOT WAIT to see this production; working on the photography for this was a roller coaster and an absolute treat.
